“Music makes you feel a feeling.
Lyrics make you think a thought.
A song makes you feel a thought.”
Y.P. Harburg
Shane Adams wrote his first song at
10-years-old. It was terrible.
He got better.
Shane’s songs immerse you in a world of outcasts and misfits who fall hopelessly in love, traverse self-doubt, betray their friends, learn to dance, hurt, forgive, fail, fall, and rise again. He is a master craftsman of musical prosody with brilliant orchestrations of rhyme, melody and chords that electrify and dance behind his engaging lyrics.
“Your eyes shine like a poet writing constellations down…”

Somehow
THIS Somehow is actually the second version I’ve recorded, the original was the outcome of my first experience in a studio at 18 and fresh out of high-school. THAT Somehow, and the six other piano/vocals I had written up to that point, were compiled and sold on 100s of handwritten cassette tapes aptly named No Frills. That initial recording experience (driven to in the car featured in this song’s artwork) launched my professional music career. Somehow is a song lovely and honest in its portrayal of longing hopefulness. I love it so. It was a first, and everybody has a first.
